After years of working as a Chief Technical Officer and Deputy General Director in the renewable energy industry, Terry decided it was time to hang up his suit and tie. Despite holding a high-level position, something always felt missing. His busy travel schedule often kept him away from the little but meaningful moments—his kids' milestones, the chance to teach them how to fix a broken door latch, or the simple joy of making wooden toys together. Terry wanted his children to have a childhood filled with fun and lasting memories with their dad, just as he had growing up. That’s when he knew—it was time for a change.

Coming from a family with three generations of mechanical engineers, craftsmanship and machinery were second nature to Terry. With deep technical expertise, years of hands-on experience, and a degree from the University of Waterloo, he had also built strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills. This unique combination prepared him to take on construction projects of any size with confidence and precision.

What started with a Bobcat Mini Track Loader, a pickup truck, and a 19-ft trailer has grown into something truly special. Terry and the dedicated team at WeCare Construction have built their reputation on honesty, integrity, and exceptional workmanship—whether it's a custom deck, a basement remodel, or a new fence, every project is completed with care and quality.

In the summer of 2019, WeCare Construction partnered with Home Depot as a Home Depot LocalPro. Today, they are recognized as one of Ontario’s best LocalPros for deck and fence construction.

Since 2023, Terry and the WeCare Construction team have also been offering virtualization services to help clients bring their renovation dreams to life before the work even begins. Seeing the joy on a client’s face when their vision turns into reality is what drives them forward.
